Real Wedding - Matt & Olivia

We are so honoured to share Matt & Olivia's August 2020 Wedding on the blog today. Matt & Olivia have a personal connection to the team at Hilltop, as Matt's sister takes care of our social media accounts for us, which made this wedding all the more special to us. It's humbling when people we don't know want to be married at Hilltop, but is truly rewarding when someone we know has a connection to our facility.

Their Story: We met in Grade 2! We were always friends growing up, but we didn’t start dating until right before we graduated high school.

The Proposal: Matt planned the most amazing proposal and put so much effort into all the little details! He planned for us to go canoeing on Sylvan Lake, a special place that we loved to spend time together. Little did I know, he had much more than just a canoe ride planned! With the help of his sister Amy, Matt had a set-up of all my favourite things, music playing, and Amy hiding in the bushes with her camera to capture this special moment for us! Before this day, Matt arranged for our families to get together later that day to celebrate our engagement. It was so sweet to celebrate with the people who we love most!

Most Memorable Moment: The most memorable part of our wedding day was seeing each other for the first time coming down the aisle! We were both feeling so many emotions at that moment and it will forever be so special to us.

Hilltop Experience: Hilltop is seriously such a stunning venue! Every part of the venue is just so beautiful. We had a hard time choosing our ceremony location because there were so many breathtaking choices. Getting ready in the bridal suite that overlooks Sylvan Lake was so amazing. We truly got to see our dream wedding come to life at Hilltop!
