One of the many amenities that Hilltop Wedding Center has to offer is our private par 3 golf course. We love to see our couples and their guests take advantage of the course! We have a few tips and tricks to get the most out of your wedding day while incorporating golf.
Open Golf
Let your guests know they are welcome to golf in the morning or early afternoon, when it’s convenient for them. There are no tee times, they can just arrive and enjoy our beautiful par 3 course.
If you are going this route, we recommend that you provide your guests with a limited time frame when golf is permitted. With most of our contract access times starting at 10:00 a.m., no golfing would be permitted prior and it’s likely that you will want to get to the venue and organize a few things before guests arrive. Therefore, inviting guests to start golfing at 11:00 a.m. allows a little buffer time for you in the morning. Then depending on what time your ceremony is, we would recommend that everyone finish up their golf game a minimum of one hour prior to the ceremony.
Sample Invitation Wording:
We invite all our guests to golf prior to the ceremony!
Our wedding venue offers a Par 3, 9 Hole Golf Course.
No tee times are required. The first hole is located behind the big tent.
Golfing is permitted between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
We do ask that all golfers are off the course by 2:00 p.m., as guests will be beginning to arrive for the ceremony. Please note that you will have to skip Hole #8, as this is where our ceremony is taking place.
Pull Carts are available beside the clubhouse. The venue also has a limited number of complimentary clubs available. Please see the venue staff (the staff office is located in the upper parking lot, next to the private residence), if you would like to borrow clubs.
Another option would be to allow guests to golf after the ceremony and prior to the reception. We don’t recommend this option as it can create a hazard for your wedding party and guests who may be taking advantage of the property for photos. If you decide to go this route, we strongly recommend you limit golfing access to holes 2 through 5, which are on the north side of our property and are less common for guests to wander.
Sample Invitation Wording:
We invite all our guests to stay after the ceremony for
cocktails, golf and lawn games.
Cocktails & lawn games will be located on Hole #9 next to the tent.
Holes 2 through 5 will be available for those that would like to enjoy golfing.
No tee times are required. Hole #2 is located behind the big tent.
Golfing is permitted until the start of the reception at 6:00 p.m.
Pull Carts are available beside the clubhouse. The venue also has a limited number of complimentary clubs available. Please see the venue staff (the staff office is located in the upper parking lot, next to the private residence), if you would like to borrow clubs.
Wedding Day Golf Tournament or Putting/Chipping Contest
If you are a golf enthusiast or want to create a more immersive experience, invite your guests to participate in a small golf tournament prior to the ceremony. They can win free drinks at the bar or their table gets to go first through the buffet line, plus epic bragging rights.
We still recommend keeping golf to a designated time frame. Our course typically takes most golfers about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. Therefore planning 2 hours for a small tournament should work great.

Pull Carts are available beside the clubhouse. The venue also has a limited number of complimentary clubs available. Please see the venue staff (the staff office is located in the upper parking lot, next to the private residence), if you would like to borrow clubs.
Not quite sure you want to host a full golf tournament but would love to have some golf related competition? A putting challenge or a chipping challenge are a great alternative and can easily happen after the ceremony, with all of your guests!
Important Tips:
Safety: We want to ensure that guests are not wandering the property when golfing is happening, especially little ones. Therefore, we strongly recommend that golfing takes place prior to the ceremony when the majority of guests have not yet arrived.
Ceremony Hazard: Our Pond Ceremony site is located on the fairway of Hole #8 and our Garden Ceremony site is located on the tee box of Hole #9, therefore, we recommend you skip over these holes if you are planning on hosting your ceremony in either of these locations.
Power Carts: We only have a limited number of power carts available. We strongly recommend the power carts are reserved only for guests with mobility concerns, vendors, or the wedding party to use for matters related to the wedding. Sadly, damage to the carts or the course often happens during golfing events, therefore, this will also protect your security deposit with the venue in the event of any accidental damage.
Wedding Website: We find the best way to share information with your guests about our facility and golfing is through a wedding website.
Score Card & Map: Please find attached a simple scorecard and a map of the course.
